Maryland Man Charged with Murdering His 2-Month-Old Son After Admitting to Shaking the Infant: Authorities

A Maryland man who supposedly admitted to shaking his 2-month-old son has been charged with murder, local police said Monday.
The Prince George County Police Department’s Homicide Unit declared in a media release that 31-year-old Rodriquez Holeman was arrested in connection with the death of his baby son, Rodriquez Holeman Jr..
Police and emergency medical personnel were discharged to the Holeman house on Murray Hill Road in Fort Washington on April 23 after receiving a report for an unresponsive child. Holeman Jr. was hurried to a local hospital but was declared dead”a brief time” after arriving at the facility.
The Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia ruled the death a homicide, finding an autopsy revealed that the baby’s cause of death was”inflicted head injury with blunt force injury to the chest,” police said.
When police asked regarding what had happened to the child, ” the elder Holeman–who was allegedly the only other man with his son at the time he was rendered unresponsive–admitted to shaking the infant, according to the police announcement. Holeman now faces charges of murder that is senile, first-degree child abuse leading to death, along with other fees.
The suspect is presently being held with the Department of Corrections and also a commissioner has he detained without bail.
