An 18-year-old at North Port, Florida is facing criminal charges he sexually extorted a girl. Steffan Lamar Johnson has also lost on a college soccer career.
“Michigan State soccer educated Steffan Johnson now he will not be a member of the Spartan program,” a spokesman to Michigan State University told The Detroit News.
The events unfolded after police say the dad of a juvenile girl told them Johnson jeopardized his daughter. The girl resisted the defendant’s improvements, and the suspect is alleged to have reacted by stating he’d post video of the girl performing a sex act .
Cops said they spoke to the girl, who asserted that Johnson strove to kiss her. She stated she received a text message featuring the risk and video of herself performing the above action on Johnson.
Both victim and suspect were minors at the time of the movie, police said.

MSU previously chose a wait-and-see approach to the allegations against Johnson, a cornerback at Florida’s Venice High School.
“Michigan State Athletics is conscious of the matter and monitoring the circumstance,” a spokesman previously said.
Johnson announced in November that he’d be committing to MSU.
“Go Green,” he also wrote, and tweeted he would be at a practice that happened Saturday.

Jail records reveal Johnson was arrested Thursday from the North Port Police Department. He faces one count of extortion or threats and one count of cruelty towards children by directing or promoting a sexual performance by a kid. The records indicate that the suspect got out of jail the identical day that he was arrested by submitting a $50,000 bail bond.
It is uncertain if he’s an attorney in this matter. Though prison documents have a case number for the subject involving Johnson, online Sarasota County, Fla. court records do not contain any relevant documents.
